Focus on Address Book

Address Book is more than a place holder for email addresses. Setting up your address book properly can turn it into a powerful tool for printing envelopes, mailing lists, keeping track of birthdays and looking up addresses in Google Maps and Google Earth. It also integrates with iCal, Pages and Mail. This 60 minute class will show you how to get more out of your contact list.

Focus on iCal

Keep track of your appointments with reminders, learn how to send invites to people in your address book, keep track of birthdays and create multiple calendars and calendar groups. Subscribe or publish your calendars with MobileMe and share them with friends or family. iCal also integrates with iPhoto for creating and printing beautiful calendars. iCal has a lot features and is more than a simple day-timer. This 60 minute class will show you how to get more out of your calendar program.

Focus on Mail 101 - Setting up and getting more

The Apple Mail app is a powerful eMail application that can help you manage multiple eMail accounts, integrate them with one, universal address book and integrates nicely with many of your Macintosh applications including iCal and iPhoto.

I’ll show you how to set up and customize your accounts and set reading and responding preferences. You’ll learn several ways to create attachments, how to scale photos easily in Mail, how to preview attachments you receive and easily send photos to iPhoto.

Focus on Mail 102 - Signatures, smart Mailboxes and Rules

I’ll show you how to create signatures and we’ll talk about the differences between mail boxes and smart mail boxes and how to turn Mail into your powerful, personal post office using rules.

Pages is a powerful word processing component of iWork. In this class students will learn how to use the text & graphics tools of Pages as a replacement to expensive desktop publishing programs to create flyers, brochures, business cards etc. This is a 2 hour class.

Photoshop Elements - basic editing and photomerge

Elements is a great addition to iPhoto. Learn how to easily adjust or replace color, edit unwanted artifacts and retouch a photo. Using Elements you can do photo merge and create stunning panoramas and much more.
